Food: Toshi Sushi, SUPERB!

ok so i know everyone and their mother’s know the best spot in LA for sushi.. Well im here to say you are all wrong. haha. thats unless you have a great palette and know the best place is Toshi Sushi.

Located at the edge of Little Tokyo next to one of my favorite bars ( another post to follow soon ) is a hidden gem of a sushi spot. With no fancy signs or gimmicks to get customers Toshi Sushi is the ultimate hole in the wall spot. you have ONE sushi chef and another sous chef in the back preparing the heated food. At first glance you notice the size. It is tiny. Only 6 tables and a 7 person bar.. wow. Toshi definitely feels very intimate and when that paired with the excellent staff it is a recipe for a wonderful dinner.

With all that being said lets talk about the important stuff. Yes thats right the food! I, like many of us, order a la carte and just pick and choose what we know and love. You can do that but i suggest something a little more daring. OMAKASE. Which literally means ” i’ll leave it to you ” in Japanese. Yes folks, let the chef decide what you eat for the night. While many places offer this type of dining i dare you to find a place that as good as Toshi and along the same price range. You will not. Before i get to the important part (PHOTOS!!) i just would like to give credit where credit is due. My buddy Kyle informed me about this place and i cant image my life without ever trying it.
